Pack 127 is an active group of boys, girls, and parents with a quality year round program.  The Pack recruits scouts from the area served by St. Joseph Catholic Church-Odenton, our Charter Organization.  This includes boys and girls from the School of the Incarnation, Four Seasons, Piney Orchard, and Waugh Chapel elementary schools. With over 75 active boys, girls and parent support we have great fun in activities ranging from;
  • Den Activities:   arts & crafts,   games,    hikes,    outings,     rockets,    rock climbing,    ecology,    knots,    whittling,     & more ....
  • Pack Activities:   Pine Wood Derby,   Hay Rides,    Spring & Fall Camping,   Service Projects,    Camp Fires, Raingutter Regatta,   & more ...
  • District ActivitiesSummer Day Camp (BBs, archery, fishing, crafts, games, etc.),  Scouting Olympics,  Highland Games, Discounts, & more ...
  • Council Activities: Summer Resident Camp at Broadcreek Memorial Scout Reservation

Pack 127 meets most Tuesdays at 7:00 PM at the School of the Incarnation, 2601 Symphony Lane, Gambrills, Maryland.  Our meetings usually run one hour.    The pack is in the Four Rivers District of the Baltimore Area Council..

1) We are about creating fun for the boys that builds character, develops camaraderie, expands their horizons, and fosters achievement!

2) We are an all volunteer organization dependent upon your parental participation and willingness to give a little of your time.

3) Healthy Packs grow and we are always recruiting for new Scouts.  Please refer interested boys/parents to us for information.

Yours in Scouting,

Mike Quirk, Cub Master Pack 127

Keeping Pack 127 Growing and Healthy

Posted on Nov 20 2019 - 3:19am

As we head into the spring and Blue and Gold banquet, we have quite a few adult volunteers moving or crossing over with their scouts. We are hoping that over the holiday break, you will consider one of these positions. We will need to fill the following positions:

Pack Registration & Boy's Life

Posted on Nov 7 2019 - 2:42pm

Parents of Pack 127

As we discussed at the recent pack meeting, the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) has significantly raised their annual registration fees at a time when we had already collected most of our annual dues.  We are in the process of re-chartering the pack for 2020. To prevent asking our scouts and leaders to pay additional fees, the committee has reworked our budget and made some hard decisions to reduce our costs. While these changes will not reduce the quality of the program, we have decided to discontinue subsidizing each scout’s annual subscription to Boy’s Life magazine. This is an excellent monthly magazine that the scouts enjoy getting, but it has always been an option to subscribe.

Youth Protection

Posted on Oct 9 2018 - 11:21am

All adult leaders who work directly with youth  must complete BSA's Youth Protection Training (YPT).  We are required to have a registered female over 21 who has completed YPT in each activity where girls are present.  We don't want to have to turn a young scout away because we don't have the necessary leadership in place.  Go to my.scouting.org, create an account, and take YPT (on the upper right portion of your screen, is a red round circle about 3"), click that and away you go.

Thanks Deb

I'd like to thank Deb Brown who has agreed to take on the role of Recruiting Chair.  She is sliding over from webmistress of our pack website to fill this critical role in the life of the pack.  Deb has a marketing background and the drive to ensure the Pack recruits our next generations of scouts.  I can't thank her enough for her help.
